2013 Welcome to the Beltway

May 20 – May 24, 2013

Welcome to the Beltway is a five-day crash course on careers and life in Washington, D.C. University of Texas students and recent alumni get to meet and mingle with Texas Exes living and working in D.C. to learn about a variety of careers in the District. Over the visit, the students meet with Federal Agency staff; Congressional staff; senior policy analysts; software, engineering, and IT professionals working in the government sector; seasoned political journalists for newspapers and magazines; lawyers; campaign strategists; non-profit professionals; and many others. See a list of previous panel participants here.

The 2013 program is open to all UT System undergraduate and graduate students and recent alumni. As part of the program, attendees will participate in office visits and industry information panels led by Texas Exes, a welcome dinner with the DC Texas Exes, and a networking reception with professionals in a multitude of fields.
For more information please contact Emily McKee.
